21A Gravel

Material Type/Class: 21A Gravel/ Dense-Graded Aggregate

Material Description: MI Gravel’s 21A Gravel meets all the standard requirements for specifications. Testing has been done and conforms to MDOT and to the American Society for Testing and Material specifications.

Usage: 21A is often used in driveways or walkways. This material can also be used for retaining walls and as a base level for decks and patios. 21A has more stone then 22A and 23A

22A Gravel

Material Type/Class: 22A Gravel/Dense Graded Aggregate

Material Description: MI Gravel’s 22A Gravel meets all the standard requirements for specifications. Testing has been done and conforms to MDOT and to the American Society for Testing and Material specifications.

Usage: 22A is commonly used for parking lots, driveways, and road gravel. 22A has more stone than 23A and less clay binder. 22A is a good choice to use over a base with heaver clay content.

Material Type: Pea Stone

Material Description: MI Gravel’s Pea Stone is produced to commercial requirements.

Usage: Pea Stone material is mainly used as a filler gravel for septic fields around pipe, basements and pipe bedding. Although it can be used as a decorative material for landscapes. ​​

6A Stone

Material Description: MI Gravel’s 6A Stone meets all the standard requirements for specifications. Testing has been done and conforms to MDOT and to the American Society for Testing and Material specifications.


Usage: 6A Stone can also be used as a filler gravel for septic fields, pipe bedding and as a decorative material for landscapes, however this material is larger in size compared to the Pea Stone.​​

2NS

Class III A Sand

Material Description: MI Gravel’s Class III Sand meets all the standard requirements for specifications. Testing has been done and conforms to MDOT and to the American Society for Testing and Material specifications.

Usage: Class III Sand is typically used for pipe bedding, and, electrical bedding as it has the stone removed to protect pipe and electrical wiring. This sand has been screened to minus 3/8” to help protect electrical wires.

Mortar Sand
